Phil Bryant

Phil Bryant was born in Cochran, GA and raised in Macon. At the ageof 12 he prayed to receive Christ as his personal Lord and Savior atMable White Baptist Church. At 26, Phil began to experience some changesin his life but questioned whether it was God’ s leading or his ownambitions about serving the Lord. In October 1981, he accepted the callinto full-time ministry.

Phil graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens in 1968, witha Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and in 1985, received hisMaster of Divinity at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary inLouisville, KY.

Phil is married to Kathy who serves along side him as an integralpart of his ministry. Kathy also serves as the Executive Secretary forthe Rehoboth Baptist Association, which includes 54 churches andmissions across 5 counties in Middle Georgia. Phil and Kathy have threegrown children and four grandchildren.

Phil previously served as Minister of Education and Outreach inKentucky, as well as churches in the Middle Georgia area. He served asMinister of Education and Outreach at Sandy Valley beginning in 1993,and in 1998 assumed the duties of full-time pastor.

Jonathan Fisher


Jonathan Fisher

Jonathan Fisher was born and raised in the Middle Georgia Area and inJune 1984, during Vacation Bible School at Mable White Baptist Church inMacon, GA he prayed to receive Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

Although his dad was a pastor and the family moved often, Jonathangrew up primarily in the Middle Georgia area and in 1991, graduated fromSoutheast High School in Macon, GA. He went on to attend both BrewtonParker College and Mercer University.

During a church event in 1991, Jonathan met Ginger, who would laterbecome his wife. They married in 1996, and have two daughters, Annamarieand Abbigail.

Jonathan has served at other Middle Georgia Baptist churches asMinister of Music and Youth, as well as a Baptist church in Missouri. InOctober 2006, he was called to Sandy Valley as Director of MusicMinistries and currently serves as the Director of Music and OutreachMinistries.

Lynette Sheeley


Lynette Sheeley

Lynette Sheeley was raised in a Christian home and during a churchrevival, at the age of 7, prayed to receive Christ as her personal Lordand Savior. Early in her teens, she felt called into youth ministry andhas served the Lord through youth work since early adulthood.

Lynette grew up in a military family but spent the majority of herchildhood at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC. She graduated from PineForest Senior High School in 1988, and went on to attend both CampbellUniversity and NC State University.

During a singles church retreat in Interlaken, Switzerland Lynettemet her husband, John. They married in September 1991, and have twodaughters, Lauryn and Lesley.

Lynette began serving as Director of Youth Ministries in November2002 and currently serves as the Director of Youth and EducationalMinistries.

Lynette’s passion is to see teenagers (and others) desire anddevelop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the study ofand service to the word of God.
